Two Buttons

Two options that are the same option, and someone sweating over it.

The joke is never the choice. It is that the person is struggling with a choice that is not actually difficult, or between two things that turn out to be identical, or between two options they were always going to combine.

That is why the two buttons should be almost the same. 'Ship it' and 'test it first' is a real dilemma and therefore not funny. 'Ship it' and 'ship it and hope' is the same decision twice, which is.

This format's captions sit on the buttons themselves, and the buttons are photographed at an angle. Text laid out flat reads as pasted on. Both boxes in the diagram below carry a rotation for exactly that reason.

The numbered rectangles are where the text actually belongs on this template, measured against the real image rather than guessed from the panel count. These are the same coordinates the editor uses.

Common mistakes

Two genuinely different options. Then it is just a question, and the sweat makes no sense.
Setting the text horizontally over tilted buttons — it stops looking like part of the picture.
Forgetting the third label. The sweating figure can be labelled too, and usually should be.
