A meme editor. Pick a template or use your own picture, put the text exactly where you want it, download the result.
There is no upload. Pictures you add are stored by your own browser, on this machine, and are never sent to this site or anywhere else. The same goes for any caption boxes you drag and save.
Two consequences worth knowing: your library does not follow you to another browser or another computer, and clearing your browser's site data deletes it. Download anything you want to keep.
The template list is drawn from the public template APIs published by imgflip and memegen.link. Template images are fetched from those services and cached here briefly, for one reason: a web page cannot save a picture it loaded from another site, so without serving them from this domain the download button could not work at all.
The caption positions — where the text actually goes on each template — were worked out here and are the part of this site that is its own.
If you hold rights in an image reachable through this site and want it removed, email hello@tobememed.com with the template name or a link. Removal is a one-line change and will be done promptly; you do not need to send a formal notice first.
The detail lives on one page rather than two, so it cannot drift out of step with itself: see the privacy policy for what is collected, which third parties are involved, and how to opt out.
The short version: this site runs no analytics of its own, your pictures never leave your browser, and payment is handled entirely by Stripe.
This is a tool, like a text editor. What you put on a picture, and where you post it, is your responsibility — including whether you had the right to use the picture in the first place. Nothing here is legal advice.
